How to reach Kishkinta is situated 5 kms west of Tambaram in South Chennai. One can drive down to Tambaram and take Rajaji salai to reach Kishkinta or come to Tambaram Railway Station / Bus Stand and catch a bus to kishkinta. There are efficient cab services as well.
Rides Kishkinta has many water rides like White Water, Wave Pool and the Water Dingy Ride which tosses you from the dingy into the nearby woods. Their latest attraction is the Water Volcano that emits 5 lakh tons of water in just five seconds and gives the impression of a volcanic eruption. This, is the first of its kind in Asia, if not the world.They also have boating and Mini Kuttralam waterfalls that will cool you in the summer heat. You can re-energize at the multi-cuisine food court inside.They have a Kids Zone that caters to the little ones with small rides, coin-operated machines, life-sized cartoon characters that spread the cheer and add to the carnival atmosphere.The most popular rides here are Space Shuttle, Flame Ride, Wave Pool, Tora Bora, Cup ‘n’ Saucer, Aqua Chute, Thrillarium and Bumping Cars. In-house productions of short 10-minute films in Tamil and Malayalam with original story lines are screened to give the viewer the thrill of three-dimensional entertainment. About Kishkinta has the distinction of being Chennai’s first theme park. It is spread over 110 acres of scenic landscape dotted with hillocks and even a lake. Started in the year 1995 by Navodaya Mass Entertainment Limited and owned by film-maker Appachan, this theme park is near Tambaram, about 28 kilometers from Chennai. So the nearest landmark would be the Tambaram railway station and bus terminus, which is around five kilometers from here.
